PRESENTED BY JOAQUINA MALDONADO

Gaia is considered one of the best rock bands in Peru. With 3 CD’s released – El Solar de Sara (2003), La Teoría de Volar (2007) and
Giroscopios, Coordenadas y la Fábrica de Nubes (2011) and a 14 year career, Gaia has also one of the most commited and active Fanclubs called La Orbita, which follows the band and their
projects everywhere they go.

The Latinamerican edition of Rolling Stone Magazine called them: “One of the most resounding rock bands in Peru” and included them in their top 100 songs chart, just like MTVla when they included the band in their Top 10 videos, top 100 videos and considered the band for “MTV Buzz promotion” being the first Peruvian band to achieve this
recognition.

With an amazing stage presence and a close and powerful interaction with the audience, Gaia has opened shows for world-class rock bands like Guns ´n Roses, Collective Soul, Sebastian Bach, Bret Michaels, Placebo, Julian Casablancas and Pixies and has shared stage with great Latinamerican bands in big and massive concerts.

In 2014, GAIA took a big step in their career, performing in Mexico’s biggest music festival Vive Latino. This 2015, they are planning to tour Latin America as part of the promotion of the last single from Giroscopios, the hard hitting S.A.M. and the release of the first single of their new unnamed CD, Fuente de Poder, which happens to be the song performed in BalconyTV.
