This morning, two coffee aficionados, who also happen to be legendary rockers, discussed one of the most important reunions in rock n’ roll history. We’re of course talking about Guns N’ Roses‘ Not In This Lifetime tour, and our interview between Joey Kramer and Slash.

“All the shows have been great that we’ve done so far,” Slash boasted about the tour. “Last night was only our third show on this leg and then we did seven shows previous to that.” When Joey Kramer asked the guitar guru if everyone in the band is “playing nice”, Slash said “Yeah, everybody’s getting along,” although he admits that he his bandmates were skeptical at first. “We all were pretty positive that that would never happen,” he continued, “so it’s still sort of blowing our minds. It seems so surreal to me, but everybody’s really getting along great and I think everyone’s come a long way and it’s all cool.”

Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime tour is heading to Gillette Stadium twice this month on July 19th and July 20th, where iced coffee drinker Slash will fit in just fine. Don’t have tickets? You can win them from WZLX! For the times to call in, and for a bonus chance to enter online, click here.

Guns N’ Roses is about to rock Houston in a very big way.
The reunited band performs Friday at NRG Stadium as part of the Not in This Lifetime Tour. But we’ve got a sneak preview right now.
A crew of 250, including 125 locals, was setting things up Thursday inside the stadium. That includes a massive stage, seating and lights.
Production manager Dale “Opie” Skjerseth promises “a lot of pyro. More than normal. The guys wanted more.”
It’s his second tour with the band. This trek includes 20 trucks and 125,000 pounds of equipment.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Friday. EDM superstar Skrillex kicks things off at 8 p.m. GNR will take the stage after 9:30 p.m.
Prepare to be there late. The show lasts two hours and 45 minutes.
“They enjoy playing with each other.” Skjerseth says. “That’s the reasons they came back together.”
